One To Watch: Vitamin C

Vitamin C has been on our skincare radar for a while now, and for good reason! As detailed by Heathline, a hit of vitamin C can have loads of benefits for the skin, such as promoting collagen production, evening skin tone, reducing the appearance of under-eye circles and just generally leaving skin glowy and hydrated.

Lots of us have been prioritising self care and investing in skincare during the last few months, which might well explain the fact that internet searches for vitamin C have increased by 204% in comparison to last year. In fact, according to Harper’s Bazaar this powerful antioxidant has become the most Googled skincare ingredient of 2020, beating retinol, castor oil and hyaluronic acid to the top spot.  Read on to discover why, through this edit of our best and brightest vitamin C products…

Perhaps the most common formulation of vitamin C, serums are excellent for imparting a high dose of active ingredients to the skin, and this antioxidant-rich wonder serum is no different. This formula is suitable for all skin types, conditioning and brightening the complexion whilst also protecting skin from UV and pollutants, helping with the growing consumer concerns about environmental effects on skin.

This to-go vitamin C product can be used at any step of the skincare routine, as well as for priming the face and setting makeup. It can even be thrown in the handbag for a refreshing pick-me-up throughout the day. The multi-purpose vitamin C mist of dreams (and have you seen how cute that bottle is??)
